COVID-19

The health of our community is of utmost concern to Ballarat Frolic Festival. We continually monitor the Victorian Government’s public health advice and have incorporated it into planning for this year’s festival. Every event has a COVID-safe plan in place. For example, this year we will not be accepting any payment by cash - all payments must be by card, including at our bar.

Please note that by supporting our small independent queer festival and our artists by buying a ticket to an event, if required by sudden COVID restrictions we may switch the event to being an online streaming event.

When attending Ballarat Frolic Festival please:

  • Provide contact information through ticketing/QR codes

  • Follow the directions of Frolic volunteers and staff at all times if you are asked to comply with health instructions.

Anyone who has knowingly been in contact with anyone who may be infected by the coronavirus must NOT attend the festival.

Anyone feeling unwell must NOT attend Ballarat Frolic Festival events. The symptoms to watch out for are:

  • fever

  • chills or sweats

  • cough

  • sore throat

  • shortness of breath

  • runny nose

  • loss or change in sense of smell or taste.

Some people may also experience headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

If you have any of these symptoms, however mild, you should not attend the festival, seek advice and get tested.

To get further advice, call the 24-hour coronavirus hotline 1800 675 398 or your doctor.
