Ballarat LGBT events and where to find them!

Ballarat LGBT Events

What Ballarat LGBT events exist?

Ballarat Frolic Festival runs arts and culture events during the year, as well as during our annual festival. The 2019 Frolic Festival Program and any other LGBT events we run are available here. Haven't heard of us? You can read more about us here.

But we're not the only group to run LGBT events in town.

Other groups include:

Ballarat and Surrounds LGBTIQ Meetup Group - This is a group about connection; get-togethers, friendships, love affairs, up to you; whatever you make it. They meet at least monthly and it's all organised via MeetUp.

Zaque Youth Group - Zaque is a group run by Headspace that aims to provide a safe and supportive space for LGBTIQ young people aged 12-25! The group will give young people the opportunity to engage with like-minded young people and discuss LGBTIQ issues, projects, and community engagement! Contact Andy at zaque@headspaceballarat.org.au

Transgender Peer Support - A fortnightly peer support group for transgender/genderqueer/genderfluid/gender-non-conforming folks in Ballarat. All welcome! Please contact the organiser Jayne Wilson for time and location details at jayneheart@hotmail.com

If you'd like to be added to this list, please let us know at jay@frolicfestival.org and we'll 100% include you! This page is a work in progress that we'll continue to update.

Where do we find these events?

Other than individual organisations or Facebook we encourage you to check out Ballarat Buzz. This website is regularly updated by different groups in town and has a Ballarat LGBT events category. Very helpful!
